Refurbished Trade-In Baler in Baton Rouge, LA

This Baton Rouge agricultural processor needed a reliable auto-tie baler without the cost of new equipment. The project started with a machine that was roughly 30 years old and ended with one that runs like new, at about half the price of buying new.

The Starting Point

The baler came in as a trade-in after decades of heavy production use. Its controls were outdated, and its finish showed significant wear, but the machine was mechanically sound and worth restoring. That is the first thing our technicians evaluate when inspecting any trade-in.

What We Did

Our team took the machine down and rebuilt it from the ground up:

  • Replaced all wear and tear components
  • Installed a new PLC, bringing the control system up to current standards with modern diagnostics and easier troubleshooting
  • Updated wiring and safety features
  • Completely repainted and finished the machine

The result is a baler in like-new working condition with a control system that is genuinely new, not simply patched.

Where It Is Working Now

We placed the refurbished baler at an agricultural processing facility in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where it bales leftover corn material coming off their processing line. It is a growing application, and this customer is one of the first in the region we have set up for it.

The customer had been quoted a new machine through a dealer and did not want to spend at that level. The refurbished unit put an auto-tie baler on their floor for roughly half the cost of new.
